To display our human side, here are the people who make up our specialist team at Evolve and Grow Coaching, with just a little bit about when makes them tick.

    BACKGROUND

    My background is in working at a senior level within both Operations and HR. I was an Area Manager for a number of years with Pizza Hut UK, and Starbucks Coffee Company, which gave me a valuable foundation of experience to then move into a support function such as HR.

    After looking after Resourcing for Starbucks for the UK and Ireland, I moved into PizzaExpress in an interim capacity looking after their Recruitment department, before starting my own business coaching and consultancy practice, Evolve and Grow Ltd in February 2010 and have never looked back!

    WHAT I DO NOW

    I specialise in helping small to medium sized businesses:

    • Grow their sales and profits
    • Design and implement effective marketing strategies
    • Differentiate their customer service experience from their competitors
    • Strengthen their people selection, development and retention practices

    ‘Recruit and Retain’ was launched as a specialist arm of Evolve and Grow Ltd to support SME’s with a variety of tools, workshops and programmes to help them find, develop and retain the best talent in the market.

    WHO I WORK WITH

    SME’s who are serious about growing in the right way, and appreciate that a business is only as good as the people who are employed and the service they offer. In order to achieve this it is essential that they have robust and effective processes to select, develop and retain the best people.

    Clients include PizzaExpress, Yellow Hammer Bars, Bluebird Care, HAMG360, Menzies, Conde Nast, ASK restaurants, Gondola Group and Neal’s Yard Remedies.

      BACKGROUND

      I have more than 15 years experience working in Human Resources as a business partner to operations helping drive the commercial agenda forward.  This experience has been developed mainly within the retail and hospitality sectors.

      My most recent role was leading the HR agenda, working as a senior business partner up to executive level within the KFC and Pizza Hut Brand of Yum Restaurants International.   Previously I had worked at Regional Level within Iceland Foods Ltd.  Most of my career was spent covering all aspects of strategic HR – however, I also have a specialism in recruitment.

      My specialisms are:

      • Writing and running training workshops
      • Personal & Team Development – helping improve personal and team performance
      • Assisting development of strategy to deliver business growth

        BACKGROUND

        My background has seen me working across several different sectors, film, adventure travel, coffee and welfare to work. I have worked mainly at an operational level but also in a support capacity. I was an Expedition Leader and progressed to a Senior Operations Manager at Exodus Travels and an Area Manager for a number of years with Starbucks Coffee Company and A4e (Action for Employment). This experience enabled me to move into a support function as Transformation Director at A4e.

        WHAT I DO NOW

        I am a licensee of Evolve and Grow Ltd and use the SCORE system developed by the Company to enable small to medium sized businesses grow and develop. I am based in the North East of England and support businesses in and around the North East and Yorkshire.

        WHO I WORK WITH

        I work with small and medium sized enterprises, who are keen to grow their business to be more effective and profitable. As I have a wide experience of working with different sectors I can help select different ways of working to suit differing business needs. I specialise in the service industry.

          BACKGROUND

          My background is in working at a senior level within both Operations and HR. I was an Area Manager for a number of years at Starbucks Coffee Company, specialising in operations to support the growth of the business from 80 to 500 stores in a short time frame. I then joined the learning and development team and focused on the development of managers moving from a single site role to a multi site role. In addition I developed an induction programme for all management levels across the field and Head Office.

          I specialise in helping small to medium sized businesses:

          • Manage Performance
          • Develop their coaching skills
          • Give them the skills to deal with challenging conversations
          • Share effective communication techniques
          • Implement effective appraisal and PDP processes

            BACKGROUND

            I have over 16 years experience in the Learning and development, talent and HR sector in corporate and SME businesses. Prior to consulting, more recent former positions held include EMEA Senior Learning Manager, for all retail brands for Starbucks Coffee Company and HR director for franchise 23.5 Degrees.

            WHAT I DO NOW

            I specialise in the design and delivery of bespoke learning programmes. My work is influenced by my early career in the entertainments industry, creating programmes that are activity and discussion led, and a unique experience for each delegate. With a blend of coaching and skilled facilitation workshops are designed to be fun as well as challenging!

            Most of my work incorporates diagnostics, asessment, design and delivery, coaching, and talent management.

            Professional qualifications include: Strengthscope Practitioner (2016); Coaching Higher Level certificate (Full Potential group 2007); DISC Accreditd Practitioner (Thomas Intl 2015).

            I work with clients from a number of different corporate brands in the retail and hospitality sector (Mitchells & Butlers; Channel 4; Kings College Union) and for clients in the financial, automotive and care industry.

              BACKGROUND

              I have worked for over 20 years in HR covering roles across various sectors from oil and gas, nuclear, finance to investment banking.
              My last role was assisting an SME set up a Recruitment function and helped them grow their workforce from 10 to circa 200 employees strong and assisted in developing processes, policies and procedures for their HR function, before setting up my own HR Consulting practice focused on small and medium sized businesses.

              I specialise in helping small and medium sized business to:

              • Develop and implement effective processes, policies and procedures
              • Attract and source talent
              • Implement succession planning strategies to retain, grow and develop in-house talent
              • Facilitate workshops to determine their vision, mission and values

              • Coach and mentor with regards to people management
              • HR Audit checks to ensure they are compliant with employment legislation

                BACKGROUND

                I started my career in France, working in adult language training for 9 years. I worked with some large organisations in and around Paris, including global pharmaceuticals and energy providers like EDF.
                I came back to the UK in 2006 and worked for an HR Consultancy. I then spent 6 years working for Criticaleye, a leadership development network for senior directors. It was like doing a mini-MBA – learning all about business strategy from some of the UK’s leading companies.
                I then moved on to work at Grant Thornton UK, firstly as a Business Growth Manager, and then as an ‘Investors in People’ Practitioner, something I still do occasionally on a freelance basis.

                WHAT I DO NOW

                As a business coach for Evolve and Grow, I help small trade business owners who are struggling to make as much profit as they would like, and who are tired from spending too many hours on the tools. I help to create a road map for a healthy, profitable business where the owner is in control – and working on the business, rather than in it.

                WHO I WORK WITH

                I specialise in working with business owners in trades such as plumbers, electricians, builders, carpenters, landscapers, roofers etc. My clients are brilliant at their trade but rarely have a business background. The most successful ones are those who are passionate about their trade and, most importantly, are open to change.
